As far as I’m aware, this was Dita’s first appearance in a Playboy special issue as “Dieta Von Teese.” Not only did they spell “Treese” incorrectly, but “Dita” as well!

This is the Playboy pictorial featuring actress Sherilyn Fenn which inspired Dita Von Teese to dye her hair black.
Fenn played Audrey Horne in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. If the show is before your time, I highly recommend it. She also portrayed Elizabeth Taylor in Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story. According to imdb.com, “although actress Elizabeth Taylor fought the unauthorized biography, she found that Fenn aptly portrayed her.”
