Article by Dita Von Teese

I’d read that Dita Von Teese had written articles for Leg World or Leg Show magazine, but until finding this issue I hadn’t actually seen any of them. I’ll have to track down more.

Other than the obvious, Dita has contributed to a number of publications and projects, from reviews to short stories. To make them easier to browse, I’ve made a category called written by dita. I’ve added the relevant posts I can think of, off the top of my head. I’ll add more to the category from older posts if I can find others.

The main photograph in the 3rd scan is by silvercanvas (George Bone). The entire shoot is available through dita.net. Candids and performance shots are credited as ZDjęcia: Corbis, BE&W, Stargace/Forum, Materialy Prasowe.

Also, I’ve added a larger single scan of the photo of Dita with the article’s author, Magda Tereszczuk.

Draculina (USA) #45 2004

Draculina (USA) #45 2004
Photography: Sean McCall and silvercanvas (George Bone) with candid by Christina Radish
Words: Hugh Gallagher & Mitch Persons

Details & Extras: Draculina is an American adult magazine. It’s kind of like crossing film, tv and comic book genres with glamour and pin-up modelling. I think Dita was a subject of interest because of her Dita in Distress series, as well as her pin-up work.

The large photo on the first page (at the bottom) is by Jim Weathers from the Lounging Lingerie shoot, the two above it are by George Bone, as well as the one on the last page. All these photo shoots are available through the members section of dita.net.

This issue is available from the Draculina website for US$5.00.

A selection of pin-up magazines are also available. Much of the content includes a look back at stars like Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow and Bettie Page as well as articles on scandals from past eras, like the murder of 1920’s director William Desmond Taylor. Plus, there are five digests containing pin-up photography from the 50s and 60s.

New Orleans Show Pics

I’ve had some requests for more photos from New Orleans. If you follow George Bone on twitter (photographer & Dita’s webmaster) you’ll know that some low res samples were posted last week and a set of 29 are now available to members.

Apart from the kerrymaloney.com link I already posted, I’ve also found some gorgeous shots by Kaylin Idora. More on flickr and dA.
